Overview
The CAT 3 cables can be used to expand PBXs in office phone systems.
Each CAT 3 cable’s core consists of 25 twisted pairs cabled together. Each pair has two 24 AWG copper conductors, twisted together with varying lays to reduce crosstalk.
The PVC cable’s jacket material is flame-retardant PVC, and a ripcord is located under the jacket. You can also choose from cables with plenum jacketing.
All cables are terminated with a male or female 50-pin telco connector at one end and your choice of a male 50-pin telco connector, a female 50-pin telco connector, or no termination at all (a blunt-cut open end) on the other end. They are available with AMP or AVAYA style connectors.
